In ''Sharifi v. WestJet Airlines Ltd.'', 2022 BCCA 149, West Jet issued WTB credits for a variety of reasons, including cancellation of flights. The court found that these credits were not prepaid purchase cards. This was because the credits were not directly purchased. The plaintiff purchased a prepaid flight, and the credits were contingent on future events that may never have happened.
