Abuse or neglect situations involving care aides that the care facility operators find are supported by the evidence, are expected to be reported to the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry to be further investigated (Note : While operators cannot be compelled to report to the Registry, a duty to report is part of the contractual responsibilities of publicly funded operators to the Ministry of Health or health authority, see: http://www.cachwr.bc.ca/About-the-Registry/Employer-FAQ.aspx).
