Chief Justice Leonard Marchand of the BC Court of Appeal helped review the section about abuse in Residential Schools in Legal Help for British Columbians for 2012, when he was still a practicing lawyer. In 2024, he was sworn in as the Chief Justice of British Columbia. He is a member of the Okanagan Indian Band and was a partner at Fulton & Company LLP in Kamloops, BC before being sworn in as a judge of the Provincial Court in September 2013.
