We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors are using the site

Clicklaw Wikibooks and the Clicklaw website use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site and to improve our web services. The tool uses cookies to collect standard information (including your IP address) about visitors' behavior in an anonymous form and stores this information on Google's servers. Cookies are small text files sent to your computer when your browser visits a website. Read more about How Google Uses Cookies.

We will not (and will not allow any third party to) use Google Analytics to collect personally identifiable information of visitors to our site. Google will use the anonymous information collected for the purpose of tracking your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. For further information, you can refer to the Terms of Service of Google Analytics.

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. However, you can also choose to decline cookies from Google Analytics by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser.

Disclosure of Google Analytics Features

We have enabled Google Analytics features: Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting.

This allows our Google Analytics to collect data about the demographics of visitors to our site (i.e. age, gender, interests). This data is non-personally identifiable and is used for statistical purposes only. This means we cannot connect any information to you, and we won’t try to.

You can opt-out of having your data used by Google Analytics, by using Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout Also, customize your Google Display Network ads through Google Ad settings: https://www.google.ca/settings/ads

We collect user feedback through the ArticleFeedback extension and from time to time through surveys.

When you contribute feedback, we treat it in a transparent way. We specifically explain here what we treat as public information and what licenses apply. In short, you agree to make your contribution public. Unless otherwise stated, your personally identifiable information will be treated like other personally identifiable information under our privacy policy, which may allow, for example, public disclosure of your IP address.

We can view the feedback and other collected information, including your IP address, and any other data provided or transmitted to us.

We may publish some or all of your feedback and other public information in public media, including reports, websites and blogs.

Your feedback comments and public information (including your IP address) may be included in publicly available data in an effort to analyze, share, or discuss our activities. Please avoid including any information in your feedback that you would not want to have published.

We may disclose information when required by law, when needed to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or users, and when necessary to enforce our Terms of Use.

We may share your feedback and other information with third party service providers in an effort to support or help improve our operations and activities.

You understand that you have no expectation of compensation for any ideas that you provide to us.
