Revise tone and framework to reflect child’s rights

From Clicklaw Wikibooks

The framework for this page is outdated. The implication is that it an acceptable question to ask- how do I get out of paying child support? The article should be reframed in the positive- child support is always payable except in 2 circumstances. The second last paragraph says the “nice thing” about being a step-parent is that you may get to pay less! Huh? Nice for who? Certainly not the child! Please do not put the idea out there that it is ever positive, acceptable or favourable to not have to pay support for a child that was cared for as one’s own. The principles that inform the child support guidelines are very, very clear that child support is a child’s right, it is serious business and is not ever to be framed in terms of what is or is not “nice” for a parent.
