Financial Statements approval by members

It's mentioned at "What activities need to happen at the AGM?" that the members must vote and approve the financial statements. I could not find any where in the BC Societies Act the mentioning of such. May be I overlooked. Please indicate the appropriate Societies Act section to help.

On the other hand, per Societies Act section 38 (1)(a), the financial statements should be approved by the directors (and signed by 1 or more for confirmation) before issuing.

Thank you
