People who are not satisfied with the way that a facility Operator or  staff has handled their concern, or who do not want to take the matter directly to a facility, can take the matter to the regional health authority. Their options depend on whether the facility in question is licensed under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act or governed by the Hospital Act.
