Ron is a founding board member and a past vice-chair of the BC Mediator Roster Society. Ron is also a past chair and executive board member of the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC (CLEBC). Some of Ron's leadership activities entail teaching and coaching mediation skills for CLEBC, the Justice Institute of British Columbia, the BC Arbitration and Mediation Institute and the National Judicial Institute.
 
Ron is a past member of the Vancouver Foundation and volunteers with the Lawyers Assistance Program of BC.
