Master Douglas Baker of the Supreme Court of British Columbia was an editor emeritus for JP Boyd on Family Law. He is a 1977 graduate of the Faculty of Law at UBC and was in private practise, with an emphasis on family law, until 1998 when he was appointed Master of the Supreme Court of BC. Between 1998 and 2007 Master Baker sat in Prince George and in the other courthouses of northern BC (Williams Lake, Quesnel, Smithers, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John). In 2007 he transferred to the Vancouver Law Courts. He is a former assistant ranger with the BC Forest Service and a long-time baseball umpire.

Douglas Baker was the presiding Judge in a notable family law case that happened in Prince George.

According to your boilerplate nothing more can be mentioned. However it was a landmark case of it’s time.
