Master Douglas Baker of the Supreme Court of British Columbia is an editor emeritus for JP Boyd on Family Law. He is a 1977 graduate of the Faculty of Law at UBC and was in private practise, with an emphasis on family law, until 1998 when he was appointed Master of the Supreme Court of BC. Between 1998 and 2007 Master Baker sat in Prince George and in the other courthouses of northern BC (Williams Lake, Quesnel, Smithers, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John). In 2007 he transferred to the Vancouver Law Courts. He is a former assistant ranger with the BC Forest Service and a long-time baseball umpire. |
