This is a help page for contributors or users.


You may want to delete a service from Clicklaw, if for example you have closed the program permanently. Please note that if you delete a service, it will be completely removed from Clicklaw. Keep in mind that each service is tracked using Google Analytics and we collect web traffic data over time, so avoid deleting a service unless it really is no longer available. To delete a service:

  1. Log in as a Clicklaw contributor.
  2. Click “Edit services” on the contributor homepage or in the left menu of the contributor site.

  3. Click the tab for the section of HelpMap where the service you wish to delete was originally published or saved as a draft.

  4. You will see a list of all your organization’s services in that section. To delete your service, click Delete under Actions.
    • Deleting an in-person service.
      Please note that by deleting an in person service, you will also be deleting all locations. To delete a location, go to Deleting a location.

    • Alternatively, you can click View/Edit to view the service, and click on the Delete this service button at the bottom.

  5. You will see a dialogue box asking you to send notes to Clicklaw Editors. Explain why the service will be deleted and then click Delete. This helps Clicklaw Editors stay better connected to what is happening with your services. If you change your mind, you could still click Cancel and your service will not be deleted.
